Through our California Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) we offer free education and support for anyone starting their first licensed Family Child Care Home, those currently operating a family child care home, or Child Care Staff working with infants and toddlers.

  • Planning Age-appropriate Learning Activities

Professional Development Opportunities Through CCIP:

  • Training Emphasis in infant/toddler development and care
  • Incentives available to new and existing providers who complete the 25 hr. Family Child Care Core Training
  • Family Child Care/Provider Networks
  • Child Care Provider Conferences
  • Incentive available to Returning Trainees completing additional training hours.*

          *incentives are limited to availability of funding

Parent and Provider Education  – Classes in child development for parents and providers as funding permits.Check our calendar for specific dates and times.
Scholarhips are available for CPR & First Aid classes on a first-come first served basis. Download our scholarship form here.

  
Redirecting Children’s Behavior - A series of classes using a positive approach to create self-motivated, cooperative, and respectful children.  Families can learn alternatives to deal with challenging and frustrating behaviors. We also have several copies of the books and workbooks available to borrow so you can get some new parenting tools in your belt today.

 

Play & Learn - A free play group for parents and children that offers developmentally appropriate early education experiences for young children. This is also a great avenue to connect with other families with young children in our rural community.
